Hi Everyone,
This is my first post. I have tried searching for the maker of this knife, but had no luck. Does this knife look familliar to anyone? It is marked AP 76 and appears to have a fox on the handle. Very nice quality. Your help is very much appreciated.

Not sure if the AP that is shown is just the engraver or the maker. Maybe one and the same. Assuming it was made in '76, I looked in my Knives '83 Annual for names. Of all the makers with the last name 'P', only two had first names with an 'A':

Al Pendray
Andrew Pickens

It's a fine piece for sure, if it's that old and a handmade.

Update: I just got caught browsing the Knives '83 book (damn, knives were awesome then!) and I came upon a couple of folders just like it in the Embellished pages, and the listings. It says the maker and the engraver were the same: A.A. Darakis. Never heard of him, but he sures fits the billing.

Let us know what you find.

OK, him too. :p Just going on what I saw similarly. Keep at it.

Thanks.

Thanks for the help. I am sure the knife is hand made and from the 70's as most of the knives in the collection were from that time, including a handful of Loveless knives and James B Lile knives with the old mark. Couple of the knives will be up on ebay after 5:00 including an old harvey McBurnette folder. I like the knife above and plan to keep it. I just am curious who made it and what it may be worth.
Here is a close up of the mark. I have done a few searches and can't find any pics of an Aaron Pursley knife to match the logo.
Thanks Again, Will

Aaron "Duke" Pursley from Montana. He engraves rifles now and still uses the same logo. Anyone have any idea what this knife may be worth? I'm assuming not too much as he doesn't seem to be too well known. Still it is a nice knife and will be great in my collection. I was actually born the year it was made :)
Thanks, Will

Hi Will, and welcome to Blade Forums. On the General Page there is a section called Bernard Levines. This might be the best place to place the picture and info to find out a value. Good luck! :D :D :D

What a great forum. I can't believe how fast I got replies. What a nice welcome for a new member.
Thanks again,
Will

I STILL say Aaron Pursley was a student of Art Darakis.... :p

Good one. I like these hunts...
