Hello, I have a large spear point fighter made by a maker out of West Virginia. As I understood the story this maker was in the forest service and made knives part time. His name is William ( Bill ) Muthe. The knife I have has a 8"x3/16" blade that is sharp on both sides. The steel is English O-1 that has been cold blued. The handle is a polished micarta with nickle silver fittings. This knife is very well made without any grinding flaws. I also had a hunter by the same maker but gave it to someone as a present. I have checked the directory in the Knives 2000 and back with no mention. Do not know if he ever joined the Knifemakers Quild. Just trying to find some information.
