Does anyone know when any new Ares are supposed to be released?

One of my favorite, if not my favorite Benchmade knife is the Ares. Does anyone know if/when a new version of the Ares is slated to be released?

I have been waiting and waiting for what seems like forever for a new one to be announced. I only own one, and it is was a limited edition run of 120 green and black G-10. I really want to buy a new one and can't wait for much longer!

In the meantime can those who also like the Ares post some pics please? I need a fix bad. Benchmade...can we please get a limited run, or even a standard model? I plan on buying every new Ares that Benchmade produces from here on out, and have been looking on the exchange for BNIB Ares knives everytime I get a chance.

Lets see those Ares!

Here's the couple I have. I agree the Ares is a great knife and I also wish they were more readily available. Some of the members here on BFC have some awesome Ares collections to share pic's of.

I own three, always room for another. Have a NIB 732, user 735, and NIB 730-1202 (here's pics of the LE...)



 
I handled one for the first time this past weekend. I have to say - I liked it! This one was pretty beat up but I'd be interested in getting one if there's another run.

I would search the small, lesser known, brick & mortar knife shops.. You may still be able to find a few ;)

I had an Ares and I really liked it, except for the darned notches cut in the blade, so I don't have it anymore. I like the spear point blade profile so naturally my other favorite is the 913 Stryker and now they make the 908 Stryker with axis lock and not assisted. It occured to me that the 908 is very similar to the Ares and a pretty good replacement for it. If I didn't already have my supply of 913s I would go for the 908, and the M4 version is so attractive that I might someday find one and not be able to resist it.

:eek: Holy smokes! :eek: That is an awesome stash. Well done.

I think the Ares is super badass but never carry the one I have anymore for fear of losing it and not being able to replace.

Over the years a better Ares collection couldn't be possible. Thanks for yet more great photos Agony. :thumbup:
 
Thanks. I'm hoping to get newer/better photos next week. I've just been too busy....taking out all of those knives for pictures is a pain.
One day, when I'm confident that I'm done collecting them, I will eventually try to sell them all at once. But there's still two more that I need to make it feel complete.
