To me, this knife is so absurd, it's almost funny. IF you wanted a punch dagger, but didn't want it to look like a punch dagger, I guess this is what you would want, because it's not really a punch dagger. Or something. I think I'm confusing myself. IF it turns out that they didn't sell, and they get sold on clearance for around $30 or less, then I'd probably pick one up, just for kicks, and because it has premium materials on it.. Otherwise, no way, Jose'. I wonder if it would be possible to mod it so that it actually opens at a better angle.
For those of you that haven't seen this knife before, in that picture this knife is FULLY opened, hence the push dagger reference above.
.
Really, I do see the purpose of carrying this knife, but I'm generally opposed to SD-specific cutting devises, without being multi-functional, since there are so many other options.

Looks good to me in that angle - fore-finger goes throgh the hole, the rest grab the handle, and you're ready to punch. If it opened at any other angle, it wouldn't be a punch dagger (at least not in this form).

Thats funny. i always thought that the pics of this knife were partially open for dramatic effect

A less extreme blade shape (with fewer uh, speed holes) and a not 90 degree angle on the blade would make this pretty cool. But come on.

I want to see someone whittle with this.

Useless.

Its a Dagger, it is meant for stabbing, not whittling. I wouldnt want one personally, but I am sure it would work just fine for its intended purpose. Not really any more silly than a Fixed blade punch Dagger. Very limited functionality, is all.

How would you like to explain that one to Officer Friendly?

And $365? Man, that'll get your attention in a hurry!

As a dagger I think it is a neat concept and I do think its a cool design. However I do think that 365 is a bit high for that particular knife, and for edc I just dont see much use for it. i would like to see a fully open model with a slightly diff blade desgin.

It's not meant to be an EDC for John Q. Public. It's uses are pretty clear cut. It would be interesting if it locked in the punch and fully open positions but I still wouldn't be interested, especially at that price tag.

That's my question. Does it actually look like a push dagger or more like a regular folder? Could you get away with carrying this an tool? Technically, you should be able to.

My thinking is , yea that knife has one , maybe two purposes , why limit yourself to those few uses when you could carry a knife that would serve all ?
and why a push dagger with a lock that might fail ? (anything that can happen will) Push daggers were meant to be fixed blades , not folders , besides that what else is it good for ? Impressing the guys in your squad ?
I love Surefire's lights , but that knife was a huge waste of R&D.
I would be very suprised if it sold decent.

If you look at the stats, it lists two open lengths, so I suppose it does open all the way. Then, I guess you all need to apologize.:D

I guess that anyone wo carries a push dagger is mainly interested in its function as an offensive or defensive weapon. Now, a martial art instructor once wrote, that every weapon he ownes should pass the 'drop test': If forced to use the weapon, he must be able to dump it into the channel in front of his house without hesitation or remorse in order to avoid legal complication. Most potential buyers of edged weapons surely will consider 365 $$ as an obstacle to this drop test.

Personally the knife appeals to me because of its odd combination of a folder and a push dagger, but I really have no use for it.

I would I hear something more official, if anyone (dealers) have handled this knife and confirm or refute, please do so. Perhaps they were just trying to give the buyer a better idea of how long it really is. BTW, I had no idea it was so big until just now!

It looks like that pocket clip/blade stop might be able to be mounted lower, that would allow it to open all the way....the lock on that thing must be fascinating (or scary). How can it look in both positions...
