Does anyone make a good Swisstool sheath?

I've had my Swisstool since about March or so, and couldn't be happier with it. The sheath on the other hand, is a joke.
Mine came with the nylon sheath that has a snap closure. I hated this sheath from the moment I saw it. The weak belt loop is pathetic and wouldn't find a regular spot on my leather belt. It just slid around. Then the snap pulled out of the sheath. Before the snap became inoperable it also rusted quite a bit.
I went to the hardware store and purchased the Victorinox leather sheath sheath with velcro closure. This sheath is a joke. Real leather? Yeah right, leather smell maybe. The velcro patch is small, and weak often opening from just my shirt. A few days mine got soaked in the rain and became useless. The lousy quality leather sheath lost its form and now resembles a loose bag. This sheath was only ten bucks, but I expected it to be at least of moderate quality. Was I expecting too much.
Who makes a good sheath? I don't care about cost, however I don't want to wait six months either for someone to build me a custom one. What's available? What are my options?
I guess I consider myself a hard user. I maintain fleet vehicles, so it's not at all uncommon for me to be sliding around under stuff, and out in the rain, cold, and humidity etc..
It's silly that these tools come with a sheath just so they can it comes with a sheath. I want something rugged, and functional like the tool itself.
My old Leatherman had a strong real leather sheath that lasted me the full five years I had it. Maybe I can look into a Leatherman sheath for my Swisstool.
Help.

KTMGUY,

I had the same thought about the Swisstool nylon sheath -- considering how robust the tool is, it's a shame the sheath is so crappy.

I replaced mine with a Maxpedition 'single sheath' -- it's super-heavy canvas material with loops and space for a pen or other doo-dads and it can be attached to your belt or a pack/bag in several different ways, all for less than $18 from a number of eBay sellers or online merchants.

Spec Ops makes a sheath simailar to the maxpedition. Its adjustable and is customisiable. Look around at hardware stores, I found a nice quality leather case for $8. It is a no name case made for a large folding hunter. It was a little small but I wet it down rubbed it with mink oil and forced my gerber multi into it and let it sit and dry over night. I ended up with a great fitting leather sheath. If you are looking for something different rivercitysheaths.com has some nice custom jobs in concealex. I had him make me a nice sheath for my native. Anyhow those are just a few other options. Hope it helps.

Haven't made one for swisstool yet, but I made these for Leatherman Wave.

I had no idea the supplied sheath was so disreputable since I never used it. From the first, my Swisstool has occupied a compartment in a Nite Ize nylon carrier along with an LED-modified MiniMaglight and a 6 inch adjustable wrench. It's the same type I have been using several years for a Leatherman Super Tool and has proven to be tough and versatile. Nite Ize products are sold at Lowe's and other DYI emporiums. I've seen them at Ace Hardware too, sometimes, and always available from on-line dealers..

Thanks for all the suggestions guys.

Those custom leather ones you have Singteck are nice. Did you make them yourself?

Znapschatz, I looked at some of the pouches they had at Lowe's, it was probaly the brand you mentioned, but I couldn't find one that fit it well enough. Lowe's selection was limited at the location I frequent.

I considerd having the local leather shop make me one. Made from real leather with a military style snap, I was quoted an estimate of $50., maybe a little more, maybe a little less. He showed me some holsters he had made for collapsible batons, and cell phones. Although his work looked nice his styling left much to be desired. So I ditched that idea.

I ordered the MaxPedition single sheath #1411k last night. With shipping it cost me $22.95. It looks very well made, so I'll see.

I now have almost as much invested in sheaths as I do in the tool itself.

I had the same problem with the crummy sheath and found a durable nylon sheath that fits the tool like a glove...unfortunately I don't remember who makes it. You might look into Tim Wegner's Blade-Tech in Tacoma WA. I heard that he can make great kydex sheaths and holders for any tactical tool, be it a handgun, a knife, flashligt or multitool. Kydex is pretty much indestructable and will probably last longer than nylon or even thick leather.
