and/or "Boron" coating like the black Kershaw Chive?

Just wondered who else out there might make a knife with an interesting or unique finish.

Also, I love the locking mechanism on my Meerkat. Does anyone else make a knife with a cool gimmicky feature like that?

Thanks very much!

I don'tthink there such a thing as a scrath proof blade...

The benchmite is small but has a cool opening.

The Boron Carbide coating is done by Bodycote...BC is one level below Tungsten DLC (diamond like coating), which is also offered by Bodycote. At some point in time, Bodycote was accepting individual orders (you had to send them your knife disassembled) but they stopped doing that for logistical reasons. Now they only do the coating for manufacturers such as Kershaw or custom knife makers.

BTW, they way your knife "looks" with the coating will depend on how the blade/handle was finished BEFORE you put the coating on.

Here's my custom Crawford Kasper in Tungsten DLC
