I'm not thrilled with the chisel grinds, but I like the aesthetics of the americanized tanto blade. Anyone make a non-chisel grind tanto folder with a blade of around 3"? Pics would be great too. Thanks.

In addition to the ones listed already there is the Spyderco Lum, Buck Strider and Mini Strider, Benchmade Pardue Axis Lock Tanto, and TOPS CQT Magnum. There are probably many more.

RE the CRKT M-16: My small M-16Z has a normal grind. I had a large combo edge but lost it. It was not a chisel grind.

I like CRKT's Lightfoot M1, it's built like a tank.
It has multi-position belt clip mounts. It is less
than 4.5" closed and all black.
Very nice!:D

Buck Strider Tanto! The thing is way overbuilt - basically a sharpened prybar. Only thing to remember is that it comes from the factory with a "field edge" on purpose (I think I got that info here somewhere). A little work brought it to shaving sharp and now it's one of my favorite EDCs. Of course that was after Reese Weiland moved the clip to the correct side (tip down carry) :D

And don't forget the Benchmade 722 designed by Mel Pardue. A non-chisel ground tanto with an Axis lock!
