I was watching Chris Kirk's vaudeville act tonight and thought how neat it would be to have a one hand opening, decent steel knife in a fairly large size but with bolsters and jigged bone.

Or maybe there is.

Probably not exactly what you are looking for, but I really like the Nakamura because it looks very "pretty" in a traditional way, yet has one-hand opening and closing, and a pocket clip. It's a pretty stout little knife, too. Someone once called it a mini-SERE2000... And it is... with wood scales and mokume bolsters.

$2400.00 OMG.. that is a bit on the high side.. I had no idea the cost .. I just knew I had the picture for a bit and thought I would throw it up.. Very cool knife though.. but you are very right way out of my price range to be realistic choice of carry

There's the Boker Copperliner, and a couple Case offerings... Not too sure about the steel.

Fancy customs or nothing. I'm thinking of a sorta sunfish look on the outside with a stud in a cutout. And NOT a sunfish spatula blade.

Nickel silver bolsters at each end. Just a nostalgia thing.
:)

That Boker Copperliner is ..... close .... but a 2 5/8" blade makes it a gent's knife and I want one for when I'm bein CRUDE. And no damascus....just a plain satin blade that could get used. ATS-34, VG-10, D2, 165CM, even AUS-8.
