I have tried everything to make the standard sheath work for me, but it just eats my edge alive. I hate having to sharpen this thing every day. I really would prefer Kydex or the like. I am in the USCG and the blade sees exposure to salt air pretty much daily. I keep the knife oiled, but I am worried that a leather sheath would get imbued with salt crystals causing accelerated rust on the carbon steel blade.
