Does anyone make an upscale Boker Trance?

Does anyone make a custom or upscale version of the Boker Trance?

This is a terrific design -- and the Taiwan-made Boker version is truly excellent for the money (about $30). The design is so good IMO that it deserves a model with better materials.

That is what happened with the Subcom Titan -- another excellent Chad Los Banos design that is part of the Boker Plus line. Three Sisters Forge makes a custom version of the Titan, called the CCT.

So I wondered if any maker, custom or otherwise, is doing something similar with the Trance.

Check out the ZT 0551 (or the upcoming 0556) for something along those lines, only way nicer.

I'll keep looking for an upscale Trance.
 
Whoa, the Trance had totally slipped under my radar -- I hadn't even seen pictures of it until I looked it up after viewing this thread -- but it does indeed look like a great design. I might have to toss one in next time I order from a place that stocks them. And I'd definitely be in for one with upgraded materials if anyone ever produced them.

Well, the handles are similar in shape, the blades are pretty similar as well, and the ZT 0560 will have a flipper as the Trance does. Pretty darn similar, in my book.

The ZT is a monster in comparison to the smaller, lighter Trance.
Like I said, I own both.

Neuron, the Trance is indeed a great design.
The Boker is nice and I'm glad I own it.
But it does not live up to the design.

BTW: Just received today the Three Sisters CCT, a custom version of the Boker Plus Subcom Titan -- wow!!
I would really like to see someone do something similar with the Trance design.
 
I would like to see not only the Trance upscaled, but the Boker Action 2. It's one of my faves.
