Does anyone make what I'm looking for?

So I've got the itch for a new traditional, but I'm not quite sure where to look. I'm not even sure there are production companies that make what I'm looking for. Here are the traits I'm looking for:

-Natural handle materials (wood, bone, stag, etc)
-No preference on blade shape, though I prefer 1 or 2 blade patterns.
-No preference on whether the knife has bolsters or not.
-carbon steel blade(s)
-blade length around 3" or so
-tight tang and lock fit. It seems all of the slip joints I look at have a rounded tang and rounded lock face, and I just don't like it.
-priced between $100-$150..though if there are cheaper options, those would be appreciated too.

As always, the suggestions are appreciated.

Gmountain,

I've looked at that brand, but it seems like all the ones they make are rather huge compare to the Case Trapper I have now.

Of course, if they make smaller patterns, I might be interested..

Look at the #73. That's smaller.

Quick question, how are the eye brand knives as far as fit and finish go?

Not great. I have a large stockman. The finish is pretty good, the fit is better than average. The blades, while nice and thin are ground a little unevenly.

They make great users though.

I was just able to handle a bunch of stag handled medium stockman, and all of them had above average fit and finish. The one I took home has NO wobble at all to any of the blades and the stag is beautiful. The only problem mine had was it wasn't very sharp, easy to take care of since their blades taper considerably towards the edge. With the exception of the edges, they had much better fit than GEC and even better in some respects to Case. I owned a large stockman a couple years ago and it had good fit and but the same problem with the edges. The newer ones aren't as bad and they aren't anywhere near Queen bad.

I ended up settling on a Case Small Texas Jack in amber bone and CV. Now I'm just waiting for it to arrive.:D
