Does Anyone own A BM Rukus SBK?

I have one and it is a great big but very good knife that will last for generations. I have temporarily tabled it because my new toy arrived last weekend, a 4" Spyderco CF Military PE model. The Skirmish is also a great knife if you are looking for a bigger EDC. You know the Rukus is a "chubbo" don't you? Almost weights a half-pound. This is a serious "honker" that will be good for the heavy duty work.

Here was a test I found of large folders. I emailed the author and requested that he update the review by including both the Skirmish and the Rukus which I'm confident will outdo the much more expensive "S" knives.

Sorry, but I do not have one. I do have the Rukus in plain edge and pewter finish. I can say that in this format, the Rukus is a real winner. The flat grind allows it to slice and slice and slice, while the S30V steel allows it to hold and hold and hold it's edge! I've read that a few folks don't care for the length or girth of the handle, but I've found it to be just right for me. I've carried this knife as one of my edc's for the past month, and it rides in my right front pocket without difficulty.

I think that serrations would affect the slicing ability a little and for that reason I will not get one. But with it being the newer BC-1 coating, I will get a 610 BK when available.

I went with a plain edge/pewter also. But I really like it. I agree w/ the other guys, this is a nice knife. I'll see how it does on deer and elk later this fall.

Recently I've been matching knives with some of my guns. I put the Rukus w/ my new .460 S&W. Both of these are massive specimens so they seemed to go together.

I have one on order, should be getting it Wednesday according to UPS. I already have a Skirmish, large Harsey Tactical, MOD Duane Deiter CQD, Cold Steel Vaquero Grande, Camillus Cuda Maxx 5.5, and 2 Al Mar SERE folders. I just love big folders!:D

I don't currently have a Rukus but, handled one (PE) this past weekend at a local store. Blade deployment was almost reason enough to get one. Smooth and effortless....and beautiful. Yep, that blade is is a honey. When it comes out it instills confidence. You get the immediate impression that there is no job this piece could not tackle. Lock-up is solid, as would be expected of an Axis-Lock, and there is plenty to hold and grip about the handle.

I don't know how long I can go without buying one.

Man that sounds great I have had my eye on it for a long time. Anyone know where I might find a good deal on one under $100 if its possible?

Have seen them going for 170 range online.
Thanks for all your views.

The cheapest price I've seen on a Rukus is $156.25 @ New Graham Knives and they've been out of stock for a while. I could be wrong but with a list price of $250 bucks I doubt you'll find a new Rukus for less than $150. (you might take a look at ebay but the ones I've seen there have had a starting bid of $150-$160)

I just got mine today, package waiting on porch when i got home. Man! There is no picture that can do justice to this blade. It is one heck of a knife. Comparable in handle to my older Al Mar SEREs. Handle is bigger than the Skirmish, but blade length is the same. Blade does not completely fill handle when closed, ala Spyderco Military. I love the Green and black handle.
Time will tell if this knife holds up. So far I have not had any problems with S30V. My older Military with the CPM440V blade has chipped on me , but only real minor.
