My girlfriend saw the pink one the other day and has been dropping hints. I see its made in Italy?? Is that right? Didnt know spyderco made anything there. Any opinions or thoughts on this knife?

Thanks

Lance

Good little slip joint. Same blade size and style as the chicago if you have seen that one. The grip feels solid to me despite not being the bi-directional texturing. It is uni-directional texturing. No issues with the steel so far but I am not a hard user. Mostly open packages with it. I have the black version.

Lance, The squeak is a great little knife. It has a thin blade profile and is a good slicer for things that aren't too thick. It also opens easy, so your girlfriend will have no problems opening it. The steel is is N690Co which is a good grade Italian stainless.

Spyderco has had a few knives made in Italy. The Volpe and it's little brother, the Lionspy and the Pingo come to mind.

If your girlfriend wants a knife I'd say go for it. It's always good to get the women involved with the Spydie addiction. Mine carries either a Dragonfly Tattoo, a Ladybug Tattoo, or a pink BM Mini Grip.
