As the title. Does anyone prefer the standard mid hollow grind on the G10 Manix 2 to the FFG on G10 sprint runs and the FRCP model? I'm only talking about blade shape, not qualities that come from the steel itself.

Speaking of which, I only recently noticed that the G10 Manix 2 is S30V now instead of 154CM.

Not quite sure I prefer it but I certainly don't mind.

The standard blade is fine with me, I think it offers a beefier blade that not only cuts well but can also do some light prying in wood if needed, something I will never do with my FFG spydies.

Overall, I prefer the FFG. But, if I'm only using the edge and not trying to slice through something thick the hollow makes quick work of it. Half the time I don't even feel it - touch edge to item (string, tape, cloth, etc) and I'm through.

I feel that the hollow grind has a slightly thinner tip than the FFG. As crazy as it sounds, it looks that way to my eye. Either way, I carry both just the same and have no bias towards either.

I had an S30V Manix2 with the hollow grind. Didn't like it so I traded it. I'd much prefer a FFG personally.

Mid hollow sucks, my opinion, so I made mine a mid flat grind... Cut like crazy, gifted it, FFG is the way to go, again, my opinion.

I have a configuration of each. Both cut so I dont care to much.

What I would like to see is a Manix with Digi CAMO!!!

There isn't a Manix I don't like. Get them all!

I have the plain Manix 2 with the hollow grind. I love the knife and really don't mind the hollow grind, but I would prefer it to be FFG. That's one of the reasons I'm looking into getting one of the sprint runs.

Seems fine to me. It's still sharp as hell and it's probably stronger because it has that beefy spine.
