Does anyone REALLY collect Case knives?

Sure, thousands of people do. I do too. I collect Eisenhowers in the various handle materials and colors (19 so far) and various patterns in stag (I have about 45 of those.) We often sell an entire series to some collectors when they first hit our site. Others will pick a pattern (like my Eisenhowers) and explore them. There is no need to try to get them all. You can find a niche easily that appeals to you and have a manageable task. There are a few Eisenhowers I don't have but not many. That's a very manageable collection, as an example. If you want something more challenging you could work on, say, Trappers or Copperheads. The important thing is to collect something that you like. Jump in. The water's fine.

We have many customers that will buy everything Case puts out, we keep a running account for them and when a box is full ship it to them. So yes many people do. I wish I had started collecting the Doctors knives when they started back up a few years ago, Very neat knife.

There are far short of a million different Cases, unless you start counting different colors of bone as a different knife. Even then, it's well short.

There are about 115 different pattern numbers, Case uses about 6 blades as a maximum, and there are about 20 different handle materials. So, we're dealing with about 14,000 unique Cases, not counting different bone colors or pre-Tested knives. Counting those, you'd still probably top out at about 15,000.
