Does anyone remember Jim March?

Over in the Spyderco Forum within BFC, Sal Glesser asked about a mega-Spyderco and I got to speculating about a Spyderco version of the CUDA MAXX 5.5" or even the anxiously awaited 7" CUDA MAXX and wondering what it would look like with a SpyderHole et al. I then asked, "Can anyone still here picture Jim March with one?" I was remembering his championing of the Sifu and his general love for mega-folders. I used to love his posts complaining about the small size of the Military, the Carnivore, and similar folders. I also used to follow with great interest his posts on the California gun control issues. I wonder how he and his case are doing. Has anyone heard from him? Does anyone beside me even remember him?

I remember Jim March and his Sifu #1. You got me wondering what happened to some of the other old timers like Comrade Chang? I really enjoyed reading his stuff.

Chang is still around, his name might be a little different, but it has Chang in it. I think it's him anyway.

He is around--or at least was a little over a month ago. Goes by the name of "Chang"...while searching, came across his post in 2001 about his name change--changed it because of a little mid-air incident between a Navy intel bird and a Chinese fighter...didn't want anyone to confuse him for a "red" ;0

BTW, his last post is here

It is good to see some of the "old guys" still around every once in awhile.

Jim came to our Bay Area Knife Nuts pizza dinner last year. I had a very long talk with him about his equal rights for CCW work. Most of his energy is going that way these days.

As I recall, he was carry one of those great big Al Mar Quicksilver folders in a quick draw kydex sheath of this own design.

I remember Jim March. He had a sort-of crusade going on with/against a local Sherriff's Office person that he regarded as being uncooperative & hostile in re: his CCW permit. It was some good reading.
