Does anyone work for Customs?

I am a soldier deployed to Iraq and I want to order/make some wooden knife scales for my blades. The only thing I am worried about if that they will confiscate the wood from my knives when going home. I was just wondering if anyone had experience or knowledge of the customs laws on woods, or if it just depends on the type of wood. Thanks!
