I dislike being negative...so I'll try not to be too much. I like the design. It's weird, with it's flip-out tail section that flips in when the knife is open. The blade is longer than the body of the knife, so tail section flips out and protects the last 1/4 or so of the blade when closed. I handled one several months ago. I like the looks of the neoprene/aluminum scales, but I couldn;t say how comfortable they might be during use. It's clipped to carry tip-down, a plus for me. THis is one BIG (or rather LONG) knife, I think the blade is over 5". It's much longer than the Skirmish or Rukus, and they're HUGE folders. The steel is nowhere near as thick as the Rukus/Skirmish S30V blades, but then, it doesn;t need to be.
It's a Red-Class.....made in Taiwan. That's NOT a plus for me. I suppose though, if it had to be made in Asia, Taiwan is better than China....less blood on the soles of your shoes, if you know what I'm saying.... and undoubtedly much better quality than BM would get from the Chinese.
I don;t remember seeing anything wrong with the quality of the knife when I handled it. 440C stainless, liner lock, pretty smooth opening and closing, and very affordably priced, as BMs go. It felt nice in my hand, If I remember right. Still......it either said "Taiwan" on the blade or I just knew it was a red-class, so I handled it with an acrid taste in my mouth.
For those that don;t mind BM's infidelity, I'd say it was alot better than just a "pretty good" knife.
