In the price range in terms of size and working power does anything really compare to it? Mine is wearing out (pivot is starting to strip i believe cause it dont stay tight) and the pocket clip is completely stripped out. Its actually got a peace of duct tape over the clip over the torx holding it together lol.

It has given me a few years of good tried and true working power in my tasks as maintenance.
Now im looking for something new and im not sure if i should get that again or if there is anything else out there that will be a good worker for that price range.
I know the doziers go for around 20 now, what do you guys think? New Dozier or something else

There's the Enlan EL-01. If you have problems with your pivot stripping, get a better torx driver like a Wiha that actually fits the screw heads (unlike the hardware store tools), and some blue Loctite to keep the screw from backing out.

Well for 20 bucks im fine with it being ruined after 4 years lol. I don't exactly use my stuff in the most proper way anyway, i kinda pry and hack at stuff that the knife isn't meant for.

I edc my kershaw zing and have had that nearly as long and that has 0 problems so yea, i think its how i use this 1 that kills it lol.

I know that it's a tad bit smaller, but the CRKT Drifter isn't a half bad knife and close to the price of the KA-BAR Dozier. IMO these are two stellar knives in the Sub-30 dollar price range.

I decided to just stick with a kabar dozier (also getting an enlan el02 in the mail sometime soon) i got a thumb hole instead of a thumb stud this time tho

Get another Dozier, it's a lot of blade for the cash.

Also check out the Kershaw scamp on Amazon. 17$ framlock.

The enlan 01 is the best I've seen for 17$ IMO.

I just bought a Kershaw Chill on eBay for $18. Not as much belly on the blade, though.

I think I'll get a Dozier, looks like a lot of knife at that price point.

+1 to this. You can keep that dozier going for a long time with this fix.
