Does Benchmade Often "Upgrade" Its Knives and Improve on Initial Production Designs?

How often does Benchmade bring a new knife to market, and then later make "upgrades" to the knife in response to real or perceived shortcomings in the original design?

The only situation like this that I am aware of was pretty minor, the sharpening of the corners of the spine on the Bushcrafter 162 to make it work better with a firesteel.

From prototypes to first production there are usually a number of minor changes made. It's one reason I always wait for the blades without number. That's not to say issues don't exist. In that manner, I still believe their Warranty/LifeSharp services to be tops in the industry. Out of many sent for service, I only had one they couldn't repair to my satisfaction. And what they did was offer me my choice of replacement models. That's why despite current QC problems I am still a big fan. And Merry Christmas to those participating today!
