It might hold some oils, but so little there's almost no way you would ever know. Less than linen micarta, if you're familiar with that.

So basically, no.

Not in my experience. But it doesn't feel as grippy as other type of micarta

I had a Cabs with it. And a custom slip joint that had ivory paper.

I don't think I ever really noticed it being an issue.

Felt very nice in the hand.

There are others who have been rocking it longer.

Also, I really enjoy linen and canvas mycarta.

Mine has been exposed to salt water, blood, oil, and tons of rain here on the Oregon Coast...No issues.

I have a SCABS with it and it's fine. Had it since they came out about 6years ago??? Anyway, it's seen a ton of use and no dramas.

It doesn't.
Paper would achieve higher saturation with resin than canvas or linen do.
