Just wanted to say "Thanks and 'hat's off'" to Boker and Terry Trahan. One of my knives (Boker's "Automat Kalashnikov 101") requires one of the little "spanner wrenches" to make certain adjustments. I emailed Terry and asked him how I could go about purchasing one directly from Boker. Well, I never had to purchase it because Terry sent me--free of charge--not one, but TWO of them plus an extra glass-breaker tip for the 101.
The superb quality that Boker puts into its knives is also put in to its customer service.
Again, thanks and hats-off to Terry Trahan and Boker USA!

That's always good to hear. People who stand behind their product and do what they can to help out :D:thumbup::D:thumbup:.

I'm glad you managed to sort your problem out and experience great CS from Boker!

Did you lose your spanner or did it not come in the box?

Mine didn't come with one. That's okay because these little mistakes happen. That Boker is so quick to ship me the item (immediate shipment of two of them and at no charge to me even though I offered payment) is a testament to their commitment to continuing customer service. I know all this is over a tiny "spanner wrench", but I am very impressed with Boker.

It's certainly reassuring to know that they treat their customers in this way - very rare indeed!

How's your AK101 pivot holding up? Have you recently noticed that you need to tighten or adjust it?

Hi Tops,
Nope, not at all. No adjustments needed so far but I knew I'd need the spanner wrench sooner or later. Happy that Terry/Boker took care of me so quickly.

Aloha Wayne1961,

Don't be too surprised...that is how Boker's Repair/Warranty Dept. is...and be advised, it is run by our very own TJT!!!

I too, am very glad that Boker handles "things" the way they do. Makes them "full circle" in terms of top notch, ya know?

God bless and right on Terry!

I'm glad I stumbled upon this forum and read of your experience.

I'm anxiously awaiting a stockman that was sent into Boker in the middle of February to be rehandled as I goofed one of them up trying to fix it myself. Some guy named Terry said it would take about three months because it had to go over seas to be repaired. They can't fix it here in the states.

Repair fees check was cashed in mid February and it's been almost four months and I'm getting anxious.

Hope I have the same experience!

mshambone,
The "Terry" you referred to is almost certainly Terry Trahan and he's Boker's "moderator" for this forum. He's a good guy and I've no doubt that, once he reads this, he'll look into your situation.

I did receive it, and it is in Germany getting repaired.
I will send it back to you as soon as I get it back from them.
Shouldn't be too much longer.
Thanks, Terry

That's wierd! I just got hold of a Boker AK102 (the black one) and there was no spanner in there too!

I wonder why I received one with the plain blade version but not with the blade serrated version.

Actually, Top, you should contact Boker Germany, since you are in the UK.
www.boker.de

They'll be able to help you.
Thanks, Terry

Does the offer stand for a spanner? I received an AK-101 as a gift some time ago and there was no such tool included.
