At 55 years old it has been a long time since I was a Boy Scout and I must have forgotten all of their valuable training. I was polishing the brass on a 110 and the blade was half open and snaped closed on my finger.
Wife was disgusted. Dogs were concerned. and I, highly embarrassed.
How many times does this have to happen before I am:
(A) considered a Veteran
or
(B) Kicked out of the BCCI ?

Porky

Squeeled like a stuck pig
PS
Do you think she can really sue the University for graduating an Idiot?

I think that there should be Buck Band-Aids!

But, first, we'd have to have a contest over which brand of production knives have cut more of their users. ;)

I can contribute to this...

8 stitches in the back of my left hand with my 110 back in the mid 70's using some of the first crock sticks, that didn't have hand guards. Self inflicted..

My only serious knife injury.

I recounted my first blood-letting with a Buck 110 in the 110 Stories thread:

My first Buck 110 left an indelible mark on me.

Back in '78 I was showing it off to a girl, and got clumsy. I was so attached to that 110, blade locked open, that when it started falling to the girl's blacktopped driveway, I bent down, unthinking, and caught it....

Nice memorable scar on the inside middle knuckle of my right ring finger. Y'know, there *are* times when you wish that Bucks weren't so darned sharp! ;)

 A trip to the ER - 7 stitches almost losing the tip of my left index finger - $750 later and trip to a surgeon (another $100 office visit) to have the stitches removed (they were under the fingernail) - I now carry a couple bandaids of varying styles in my wallet. I was opening a hard plastic clampack smoke dector. Ouch....

So you know your on the down slide when bandaids replace the condoms in you wallet !?

Never really was the type to carry condoms in my wallet.. but that's another story for another thread... :D :D

I think the 110 the worst one for cutting yourself on , when that blade swings shut  and if youve had a glass or two its gonna be quicker than you are :D

Dunc

I think the only thing that i have learned from all the cuts is that a person can remove their own stiches and save time and $$ on the doctors visits.
It hurts just as much when I remove them myself and my wife wont laugh at me when I cry!
