Does Emerson offer this blade etching ever beside St. Patricks Day.

I have a feeling the only one here that would know for SURE on that would be ER. Could call em or send them an email.

Sorry those only come out on the Special Edition knives. It would be a great idea though as an option for an extra fee. I'll run it by them!

It takes quite a bit of time on the laser machine but they just told me that they were already thinking of making this service available!!!!! I had no clue! Pretty exciting as I've also been a fan. I'll let you know when I find out that's going to be available. Each knife takes 40min per side so they've been reluctant as they have only one machine. Looks like they might need to buy another!

I've been holding off on getting an emerson and now that this service might be coming, my wallet is going to be emptied.

A full service where you would be able to incorporate customer designs would be stellar! BM does this for 5 bucks btw.

Sounds like you could do it after the fact to most Emerson Knive, but the cost would be high at 40 minutest per side, plus paying for an operator, etc. Think the purchasing of ther second machine would only be a start in the process, as would it take a second operator.

Think there would be an intrest in the etching service depending on cost to consumer.

We wouldn't need another operator as the machine is automated once it starts the design. I'll keep you all posted when I hear of a cost per knife. Obviously sending in your knife to have this done would be a little different as there is programming to be done for each model. Everything for now is all just theory.

Well have many many many years ago started a Tool & Diemaker Apprenticeship, I had a vision of each machine needingan operator. Thanks for the clarification.
