...Or are they strictly mail-order?

I'm going to Reno today and I could use another knife.;)

Thanks.

Call Yangdu and ask if you can stop by the house:

This is probably not a good day for visitors. She has family and family complications, and the computer mess besides.

I found an outdoors store on the Internet. I e-mailed them and asked if they had a bricks and mortar store. I got a response saying that they didn't. They only sold outdoor gear and clothing. I was told that they didn't deal in construction materials.

Funny. They were confused by bricks and mortar.

At least they were human, they should have known what you were asking. I see all the mispellings on TV because a computer program doesn't know the difference between plain and plane. Of course, human oversight is supposed to fix that, the same kind of oversight confused by bricks and mortar.

Hey, some hot-shot Photoshop guru...
Make us up a virtual "brick and mortar" HI store illustration. It's got to have at least an acre of parking and a food court. Perhaps a water park...

Until someone does the Photoshopping...

Bricks and mortar.

And an armed guard, well-maintained garden, etc.

Take care.

There is of course, the famous UBBB Cente downtown.

or one of the many other larger out-of-town branches.

here's the original store on lakeside drive,
now the smallest of the 8 in the reno area.
shows only entrance number 4.

Joe,

It's not a silly question at all. The guys are just having a bit of fun.

I suspect many others have wondered the same thing you asked. Thanks for coming forward and not being shy.

Welcome to the forum.

Awesome, kronckew! lol!

Yeah, I didn't see it as a silly question, but when photoshop was brought up, it was a chance to be silly.

And, I think an HI Mall would be very nice indeed.

Take care.

Taj Mahal? We could have posted the Moon, but we settled for a mall?

Well, at least it wasn't one of Josh's hotdog stands by the Boardwalk. "Get your khuks, get your red hot khuks!"

Some malls are quite large. Or perhaps a galleria?

I think the issue would be accessibility. The moon is impressive, but hard for most folks to get to. But, mind you, it's great for advertising. A huge neon "H.I." on the moon's surface. It might attract customers from way, way beyond-o. Or a NASA khukuri, general issue for astronauts.

I'm brainstorming here. MacHimalayan Imports? Or is that too commercial?

Oh, the possibilities!!!

lol, Take care.

..what a thought; could a private corporation get ahold of the moon, and place an ad on the surface for all Earth to see?

I kinda think a company will, eventually, but I don't think it would hold for very long. Sort of like when Lord Dunmoore (I think) bought Kentucky back in frontier times.

And I recall a scene from Family Guy where Ted Turner said he gave everyone a gift: "I've colorized the moon."

Take care.

i tried that the last time we went there, left a 50 mile high 'HI' neon red display. i think we'll need a bigger one next time with a better power supply. the solar power panels cut out before most people noticed the sign.

anyway, next time someone wants to donate $13,700,000,000.00 to pay for the fuel, the neon tubing, and the nuclear power station, we'll sail the old Black Duck back up there agin' & fix it.

we did manage to get a good shot of it on the way back last trip:

as you can see the HI in red is not very impressive,
we'll need to make it at least a couple hundred miles bigger.

oh, and we could always re-colorize' the moon for a small additional fee while we're up there, here's one we prepared earlier.
