Does HI take custom orders now?

I was going to write to Uncle Bill, but posting to the forum and sharing Uncle Bill's comment will benefit all of us. I was fascinated by 16" BGRS by Sher, my latest buy. It looks quite a user khukuri, but it was so well balanced as to feel like a feather in my hand even better than 18" GS for MA purpose. My next ambition is to have a 12" BGRS (or EGRS = Embryo Ganga Ram Special). It will have wider blade than Sirupati, less stabby and more acute edge. Bura is back now, he'll do a great job with thinner blade with his own hammer or his helpers'. Couldn't resist posting an idea of a custom khukuri.

Any comments on this idea, and your custom khukuri ideas?
And, is a custom order available currently?

Sounds interesting.:)

Since we are talking customs, how about a 12" to 15" Kumar Karda. Got my mom and brother there own for Christmas. Boy are they nice. But a longer handle and Blade might be even better.:)

It's great HI takes custom orders again! Thank you, Uncle.

I've seen some Pen knife pix, they brought 12" BGRS idea into my head. Curvy blade fits my taste than more straight blade. Thin (by HI standard), broad, and forward curved, short but bulky khukuri will make a nice-to-take-all-around khukuri.
If kamis allow to equip it a longer handle for a 12"er, I cannnot be happier.

12" to 15" Kumar Karda? A decent, sturdy all round knife. Only we'd call it a "tiny" utility knife...
