Does it exist, a 3-1/4(ish)penknife

Hi all, was wondering if there is a pen knife pattern currently in production that is about 3.25" closed, with maybe a 2-1/2 inch main blade, either clip or spear. Metal or synthetic handles a plus, no preference given to carbon or stainless, and not Vic or Wenger.

Thanks in advance!

Keith

At 3 3/8" the Case 62087 Jack would fit the bill with a clip and a pen blade.

He asked for a pen knife pattern, a blade at each end. A Jack knife pattern is two at the same end. Not the same.

Hal hit the bulls-eye.

I believe Case is still making the Eisenhower pattern which is close to those dimensions at 3 1/8". The GEC Conductor (33) comes close also at 3 3/8".

Böker do one as well, Smooth Bone, Jigged or Wood.

CASE Pen is a fine knife just a pity Yellow D is the only option, begs out for bone.

GEC's Conductor offers a lot of Clip blade in a very compact frame too.

Here's a few you that fall on either side of your sweet spot

68 white owl Case Eisenhower

The Boker 240 is nice, it's the same size as the Case Eisenhower 3 1/8" but packs a larger blade about the same size blade as the 68 white owl

You can find the Boker and Eisenhower fairly cheap I paid less than $20 for the Boker new, and $22 on the stag Eisenhower new.

willgoy - that GEC #33 Conductor in tortoiseshell acrylic is one of my grails. Always thought that the Tortoiseshell should of been offered in the upper end Northfield/Un-X-ld version of the #33. I'm tempted to get one in jigged bone or stag & 440C stainless.

The 3.25" size is my sweet spot. One of my favorite EDCs is the Case Jackknife in black delrin. I just wish it was offered in CV steel. That reason alone has me tempted to get the yellow delrin Case Pen knife pictured above.

As others have stated the Conductor is a great knife. I use the heck out of mine. (Thanks Jake ;0)
Another I like but it's 3.5" is the 66 slim. Lots of blade in that frame. It may be a tad bigge than your requirements but it carries very well.

Interestingly enough, GEC has just released the 54 Moose in Torty acrylic and that one is a Northfield. Actually, I think it works very well on the Tidioute Conductor due to elegant simplicity. I think the Northfield Conductors were all with shackle/bails and I personally dislike these on a small knife so I didn't go after them. Other Tidioute versions which have so far eluded me are White Bone and Red Apple jigged bone, there's also a fine looking micarta which is on my hunt-list. Be fantastic if GEC did a re-release of this pattern as it is one of those (rare) knives that feel right at home, right away!

Thanks, Will

its 3 1/2"
but otherwise fits the criteria

white owl, Gec 68 i THINK (goin off memory here)

the case '87 is probably the only time i'll depart from the one-spring-per-blade-and-same-pivot-pin pattern.
