Does leather micarta exist?

I really doubt that leather would be a good medium for this
product. Micarta was developed as an electrical insulator.
That, I suppose, is the reason paper , linen or canvas plus
epoxy make up Micarta.
 
I see King Grinch working. He's thinking about developing kevlar micarta. ;) :)
