Hello everyone,

I am looking into getting a LionSteel knife. Possibly the SR2a. I'm curious does LionSteel offer blade replacement at all? If so how much is it to replace a blade?

Thank you.

You can email Gianni at service@lionsteel.it he is the owner of Lionsteel. I will say though you would have a very tough time trying to actually break an SR blade they are pretty thick, don't know exact measurement width wise but roughly in the 4-5mm range.

I'm not super worried about breaking the blade. More worried about how the blade will hold up under normal use.

I guess also buying expensive knives is justified in my mind when I can replace parts. :)

Im sure they would replace it if need be but might cost a little bit. I do know they are very good about sending out stop pins pivots and lockbar steel inserts at customer request. And for what it worth I have an SR1-A red handle black oxide blade and the D2 is outstandingly hard wearing and the coating is crazy durable kinda similar to DLC but smoother to the touch and wears a bit better in my experience.

I wish I could hold one before buying. Something about the design of the knife is really calling to me.

Just got an email stating they could replace the blades; I sent a follow up email asking what the cost would be.

Thats great i think you would like one if you got one they are pretty unique in the knife world they can feel a little slick but its something that doesnt hinder my grip on it or opening it as far as size I wear a size large glove and my SR1 fits me perfect but if you wear med/small glove or just prefer a medium size knife the SR2 would probably be more suited for you

The SR1a would probably fit my hand better; but it weighs a little more than I like for an EDC. :(

I have very large hands. I've found a lanyard works with knives that are on the smaller side.

The SR1 is a pretty big folder but even with the SR2 you should have no problem at all getting a four finger grip

Also the SR1 is a lot thinner then I originally though based on the overall size in the pictures. Helps it carry alot better than comparable knivse of the same size
