Last week I ordered the LAST brown 2000 Limited 532 from Buck. I was tickled when the UPS man showed up today
. Alas my smile quickly faded when I opened the package and found a "big" mark on the bolster. I know that I can send it back and they MIGHT be able to polish it up (there goes another shipping charge for a NEW knife).
But, that aside my question is this. I noticed that one side of the blade seems to be ground differently than the other. AM I JUST BEING ANAL, or is this a characteristic of the "EDGE 2000" or of BG42 steel? Someone told me that only one side of the blade is sharpened. Is this true? Does this account for the visible differences?
I will send it back at my exspense and I don't want to seem like a whiner. I still LOVE the knife and will insist it be returned even if is "wrong" and it cannot be brought up to thier standards. What should I expect?
