Does my New Custom Shop 110 Have Bos Heat Treat?

Recently received my Buck Custom Shop 110 with a 420 HC blade. It doesn't have the Bos flame heat treat stamp on either side. So, my question is: does it have a Bos heat treat or some other kind of heat treat? If it's some other kind of heat treat, how does it stack up against the Bos heat treated 420HC blades?

All of Buck's U.S.A. made knives have the Bos method of heat treat forumla applied. Whether it is stamped on it or not. Enjoy your 110. DM

My understanding is that Paul Bos redesigned the heat treat process for Buck factory-wide and that it's just how they do things, now. Domestically speaking, that is.

To make it simple to understand, Buck only stamps non 420hc blades with the bos stamp so you know that it's not 420hc.

It's probably just not stamped out on the blade then. I received my custom shop shop 722 yesterday and it does have the Bos stamp. Congrats on the new 110 Custom. Wouldn't mind adding that to my list!

Anything from us in 420HC will not have the BOS logo or material stated on it..

I also have a custom shop 722 on the way - USPS has it and no mail the last 2 days because of the cold here. I guess my knife will be cryogenically treated by the time I get it....

Canvs, yes, I'd say a double cryogenic treatment. DM
