Does my TGLB have magnum or regular handles?

I believe most TGLB had magnums, which yours look like. There were a few recently with thinner regular handle scales.

ETA:

Here's some pics (not mine) of the non-magnum handles.

According to SpyderPhreak's post, most TGLB's have the magnum handles, including mine. Magnum sounds like a special option but it seems like they were effectively the regular scales, and the non-magnum were the special option.

Thanks for the info Spyder!

Do not know if Busse officially called them Magnum or not, but they look to be the standard handles found on most of the TGLB-The thinner one pictured above are not the Normal handles, but very attractive.

Those look thin to me.. I thought so when it was on the exchange. I've owned magnum handles and hand smoothed and those don't look like either

Let's try and clear this up a bit. The OP's handle scales are magnums, which were the default scales on the TGLB. The thinner ones I posted pictures of are standard scales, which were a special run. Most Busse knives these days seem to have magnum scales as standard equipment. HTH.

yes. TGLB is bass-ackwards . Standard = Magnum , Non Magnum = Special order. And "Hand smoothed" fall somewhere in-between thickness wise, knocking material off each side for an overall thickness of about 3/8~ less.

Actually, I don't even think you could have special ordered the standard thickness machined handles, there were about (6) of those at Knob Creek this fall and I don't believe they've ever been made prior to this.

The pics above posted in the exchange was the first ones I have ever seen.

Probably would have been a custom shop thing.
