Does Rogue need a different handle finish?

I have been playing with the idea of changing the finish on the handle of the Rogue. With the current two tone finish I have been getting two responses, love it or hate it. Would a stone wash finish be a better option?

Compare and give me your thoughts.

I like stone wash very much in general, and like it a bit more on this knife.

I think I like the original version better. What is the dark finish in the grooves?

Yeah, I've got one of the originals and like it just fine. I say stay with that. Stonewashed handles are a dime a dozen but the Rogue looks unique.

What is in the grooves? Is that a PVD coating? It wears very well.

Stonewash is nice but the two-tone is nicer. As Hackenslash mentioned before; "Stonewashed handles are a dime a dozen but the Rogue looks unique."

I don't own a Rogue, but if I buy 1 knife this year (like I did last year) it will probably be this model.

It's a little difficult for me to compare the two handle finish options--in part because the knives are in different positions and under different lighting conditions--but I prefer the original incarnation by a small margin. The greater contrast makes the knife a little more distinctive.
Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the input.

The black is a pvd coating. It does seem to wear pretty well.
