Has anybody esle had problems trying to contact strider for warrenty issues and questions?

It takes them forever to respond to emails, but they do. If you have warranty issues, the thing you should do is box it up with a check for return shipping and a note explaining the issues with the knife; then send it in.

This is incorrect. Usual response time is a day or two. I've had many emails answered within minutes to hours.

Also don't mail the knife USPS to avoid Saturday delivery as there's no one at the shop then.

FedEx or UPS only. Apparently USPS kicked their dog or something. Why accept 2-3 day priority mail when your customers can pay double for the private carriers for double/triple the delivery time?

No it's because USPS will try and deliver on Saturday, when the shop is closed. And at 2 attempts they hold it at the PO. So then Strider would have to go and pick up the package. Then they have to get it before 5pm m-f while they work those hours too. Or you could send it UPS and not worry about it.

I prefer USPS myself as its quicker and they dont hold packages to slow delivery. but in this case just save the hassle and do UPS

Wouldn't the second attempt be on Monday then? I assume that they, as a business, get lots of other mail. It cannot be that much hassle to accept packages...every other place does it.
What I do know, is that it is a pain for me to ship via private carrier, so I took all my striders to the post office and shipped then to their new owners. They didn't seem to mind.

It depends. The usps isn't exactly reliable. The fact is they have had many problems with USPS losing and not delivering packages. Only leaving a notice for them to pick it up. Or delivering while they are closed. So they just ask that you don't use them to send in a knife. It's not that difficult or upsetting.

It seems very asinine to decide not to own Strider knives because of how they request knives to be shipped back for free warranty service.
