Does the 501 Squire actually weigh 3 oz?

I'm looking at the specs of the 503 Prince: 3-3/8" long, 2 oz. Then the 501 squire: 3-3/4" long, 3 oz. Does the extra 3/8" on the squire add 50% more weight? Can someone weigh theirs to confirm, please?

I don't have a scale, but I do have both knives.
The 501 has noticeably more substance to it, so I easily believe it weighs 50% more.
I also look forward to someone with a scale confirming the #'s :)

For the record, my Buck Custom Shop 501 w/ indigo scales weighs 2.8 oz on the postal scale here at the office. I don't have my 503 on me today.
Hope this helps.

According to my food scale:

My 501 weighs 2.5 oz or 72 grams

My 503 weighs 1.8 oz or 51 grams

I would think that for an advertised point they would need to use the higher of several weights. When thinking about it would you rather find it above or below the listed weight.

It's not necessary to include a large fudge factor. In fact, I'm pretty certain they list other knives to the tenths of an ounce.

The 500 is only a 1/4" longer than the 501 and if I had to take a wild guess I bet it's 3 times the weight.

Since Buck does not have a listing, I looked the Duke up on Knifecenter:
Length: 4-1/4" (1/2" longer than 501)
Weight: 4.6 oz (501 listed at 3 oz)

The blade is only a 1/4" longer. 2-3/4" vs 3".

I've got both knives in hand now and the 500 is at least twice the 501.
