does the bk9 come in a cardboard sheath

the other becker knife i got the (bk-11) came with the sheath wrapped up seperate form the knife and the knife was in a cardboard thing... my bk9 came in today and it was in the sheath... also there was a small nick on the spine of the blade... also it seemed slightly bent to the left... i dont want to send it in so i plan on just using it the way i got it (After all it is a huge piece of metal and a slight bend and a small nick is not going to change the performance), but i was just curious how all of your bk-9's were packaged... i have a suspicion that amazon.com sent me a return or something

sometimes you get what you buy, as they say. if it's not factory new, return it to amazon. tell them why...

that said, i've not seen cardboard on the bigger knives from kabar.

camillus sold some knives with cardboard, but mostly, not so much.

cool cool, im way to excited to use it to run a return.... so ill just use it as it is... it was supposed to be brand new... i got it with credit card points
 
Good plan, It's like a new car nobody wants a scratch or dent on and now thats out of the way you can really enjoy it ;)
 
Unfortunately, some machine marks along the spine and scales that aren't flush to the tang is not unusual for the BK9. Fortunately, those cosmetic issues don't affect performance.
 
My 11 came in a cardboard blade protector, my 2s and my 7 did not.
Sounds like a new knife to me. :D
