Does the Doug Ritter RSK Mk2 ship with the brass inserts already inside the handle ?

Cuz I suspect the reason it's held up in customs 8 days now, is due to those damn inserts showing up on x-ray and they are suspicious that it's "illegal" items hidden inside it. I can just see them breaking it to see what's inside. I guess I'll find out soon enough if/when I get the letter declaring it was confiscated. Not happy right now.

Yes, the brass inserts are in there and they will show up on the X-Ray. But I think the customs guys will be intelligent enough to discover the screws, plus modern broadband scanners allow for quick identification of materials, so they will be able to see that the plugs are made of brass. Did you call the customs office yet?

i'd blame customs and your laws more than some plugs :) change the laws!

They would have to be pretty stupid to mistake three threaded brass inserts for something illegal and then not discover the screws holding the handle on.

The only thing that makes any sense, that they have not released it for 8, almost 9 days now. Fkn waiting game, apparently. So we'll see.

And no I have not contacted them, I don't want to go through that BS. I'll find out eventually.

And now, to top it off, my BK2, which I've hardly used at all, looks like it has a crack near the tip. I'll have to macro photograph it tomorrow when I can get some better lighting outside. Hopefully it's just a scratch, but it's hard to tell. Certain angles it looks like a scratch, other angles, looks a lot like a hairline crack that goes from the edge of the blade and appears to carry through under the coating

BK2's don't get hairline cracks. they EXPLODE or they don't. so, smack it with a rock :)

heh was just going to post that I believe it's a scratch, looking at some shitty macros I just did.

Thanks Bladite, that's good to know......I think.

I'm not sure if I would be scared or in awe (probably both) of watching an exploding BK2.
