Its time for me to buy another fixed blade. I looked and looked but can't find one that I like so I'm gonna see if it exists. I basically want a 5 inch blade with a drop point, full tang and stag handles for under $150. Is there a knife like this? I never carry a fixed blade to the woods unless Im hunting because all of my good lookin ones are too large.

Check out makers Robert Dark and G L Drew, both on BF and make some VERY nice fixed blades in your price range.

Oh wait never mind. I just saw his website and his knives look too beutifull for using. I'm going to be doing alot of work with it and I want something I wouldnt mind scratching. Do Robert Dark and G L Drew have a website?

They'r still to expensive. I guess Ill have to stick to production.
Go to custom knives for sale by individuals and check the threads, I got a 95% new Robert Dark for 125, he refinished it to like new for postage. I have seen GL have small hunters for as little as 65. You might be surprised if you actually sent them an email and asked for what you need and how much you want to spend.

Buck Omni Hunter in 420hc. The blade's a tad shorter than you want, but it's one to look at. Or the Vanguard....

Check out the Bark River knives at knifesupply.com. Better prices than I have seen elsewhere. The mini northstar sounds really close to what you are looking for.
