I notice the Randall 17's That on most the solder at the guard looks silver/stainless, mine looks more of a brass/gold color
Only thing I've done is cleaned it Very lightly with Mothers mag polish,,,,, But I don't remember if it was this color before I polished it ,, I wouldn't have even noticed it except a buddy said he was looking online at them and they all seemed to have a more silver looking solder. Thanks for any help
Mostly just wondering if it could have been resoldered by someone else.

I don't know how you re-solder on a finished knife without ruining the temper or melting the hilt. Perhaps a knife maker more familiar with the process can chime in. It's not unusual for the solder to be a different color from stainless or nickel silver, as compounds vary. The fact that it looks a little sloppy in no way raises my suspicion.Without having it in hand, it looks good to me.Does not look re-touched.

Thank you sir
I guess next time I in Orlando I'll take it to Randall andlet them see it in person
I guess it shouldn't matter because it took me 33 years wanting before I could get it
So barring a major disaster it will never be sold.

I think it was the polish. And the solder type used on the stainless steel #17 guard may different than the solder used on brass and NS guards...

I believe they used silver solder on the 17's but your probably right I must have changed the color with the mothers polish. I really didn't want to hear that I got A fake or damaged one after waiting so long for it,
So I'm happy thanks

The nickel silver hilt on my model 8 looks to be about the color you describe your silver solder to be.Compared to the nickel silver reel seat on my 17 year old RL Winston fly rod which is very bright and silver colored the hilt on me trout and bird looks almost like brass.Mysterious alchemy I reckon, enjoy that space blade.
