Just picked up a a new Kershaw Blur S30V and I was starting to really like it until....help me out here. Does this look like a fully engaged liner lock? On my spyderco's and ZT's the liner lock is a little more centered. Hope the picture is good enough to tell. Appreciate the help.

looks fine to me... you probably have a 40% lockup there as opposed to the 50% you're used to seeing.
does it feel loose or can you disengage the lock by rocking the blade up and down?

Keep in mind, that as you use it, the lock bar will move in as the steels wear down; an early lockup now means a longer life in the long run.

No blade play whatsoever on this, feels real tight. Never knew that either Divine thanks for the heads up.

Agreed.. IMO this is perfect lockup for a brand new knife. If it has a solid lockup right now, you are good to go.

Great lockup. Nothing to worry about, Poromenos.

Actually, pretty much all of the Blurs I've ever owned have lockup like that, and I've never had an issue.

Here's the lockup on my S30V:

And here's the lockup on my BDZ-1:

Looks normal to me, it may take time to break in. I have a CPM-154 Blur that is like that, it's pretty solid though as I have really cut a lot of stuff with it and the lock has not failed yet.

Looks good. I did return an elmax blur but it was at, what I'd call 10%. It barely moved at all. If it had been like yours I would've kept it for sure...
