I just purchased my first peice of INFI (from a gracious forumite :thumbup: ) . A Hell Razor. (well, it hasn't arrived yet.) I have heard nothing but great things about Busse, and INFI steel. I'm very excited to get it. I haven't been this excited about a knife in quite a while.
I'm kind of a steel junkie, with 440a, c,v, ATS-55, ATS-34, Gin-1, VG-10, S30-V, 154-CM, ZDP-189, 420j, Lam 420j/ZDP-189, low grade damascus, damasteel, Carbon-V, 1095, 1050, AUS-8, 6, (I think that's it) in my collection (95% or better, folders). I enjoy the different steels, and their properties.
I'm really looking forward to the INFI! I've heard of a lot of people useing it, and that's the end of it. An INFI lifer. Is this steel supreme for fixed blades, or could it apply to future folders, as well?
Am I going to go broke buying Busses? Unfortunatelly, I have an addictive personality. Is this the beginning of the end?

You're lucky ! I have an addictive personality, AND OCD which leads me to buy any Busse I don't have in search of perfection. The problem is that each one I get seems to be the perfect one, then I get another one which changes my mind, which then sparks me to wonder if I really do have the perfect one so my OCD kicks in and causes me to go buy another....hmmmm a vicious cycle but one I think I can handle.

Welcome to the Land Of Busse. You are going to like it here and will wonder why it took you so long to get here. I know I asked myself that very question - (and kicked myself for missing out on some really nice pieces)

Trust me - after playing with a Busse other knives will seem weak and inferior - and NOT Nuclear proof!! Like BUSSES ARE!!

And soon the FBM will be out and then may God save you my son - but you are going to like it . :thumbup:

Welcome - once you realize your hooked it's already too late. There's no 12 step plan to get off this either. But the good part is unlike any other addiction I know of, each successive time chasing the HOGS tail is better then the last. :thumbup:
