OK so I really like One and two blade folding hunters but the size has always been a little offputting for me. so I was wondering has anybody ever made a folding hunter that was around same size as a normal trapper or a case sod buster junior, and if so why aren’t they more popular?

GEC's 73 would fill that role very well I think. Moderate size(3.75 if I'm remembering right), and your choice of one or two blades. While I carry a two blade(sitting in my pocket right now actually), I think the Scout would be a phenomenal hunting knife. The contours of the handle fit my hand exceedingly well.

Yes, the Copperhead (German style, not the Case pen knife) is a 3¾" version of a two-blade folding hunter.

Case copper lock is similar to a sod buster jr sizedHunter but with a lock. It's a very slim, light weight knife. I like them a lot

I'd recommend a Böker Germany, Copperhead in carbon, good range of handle choices too.
