Does this SAK exist ?

My mother is planning to go on a [trekking] trip/vacation in a couple of months so I'm looking for an SAK to hook her up with. She wants the following in SAK, in descending order of priority (items with * are not mandatory but would be useful):

- large blade (locking blade if at all possible)
- scissors
- tin can opener (with flat screwdriver)
- beer bottle (crown cap) opener
- file
- philips screwdriver (*)
- tootchpick (*)
- tweezers (*)

Saw might be of some use too, but not if it comes with additional backspring.

Victorinox Mountaineer looks like the closest thing to above specs as far as those mandatory features are concerned, except that it has some useless gizmos added that she could do without. Is there any SAK that has more of desired features included than Mountaineer or one that has all those same required features but with fewer backsprings (= thinner handle) ?

Thanks for suggestions in advance, your help is greatly appreciated.

The only way you'll get that combination that I know of with a locking main blade, is the out-of-production "Master" model by Wenger.

Otherwise if you have to have a locking main blade you'll need to go into the larger Victorinox 111mm models.

If you can give up the locking blade, the Vic. Super Tinker has everything but the file.

A Wenger "Teton" has it all but the file.

The Multitool section is perhaps a better place for this ? Much more knowledgeable people.

For a locking blade, the WorkChamp is the only one with everything you want, plus a few others.
The Mountaineer is a good choice minus the locking blade/dedicated phillips, but, the tip of the can opener/flat head also works passably well on phillips too. I will also suggest adding the mini eye glass screwdriver to the corkscrew. It comes in very handy.

My advice is to forget about the SAK and pick up a Leatherman Pulse or Wave. I use the pliers more often than all the other tools put together.

Thank you guys for all your suggestions :)

Yes, the file is likely to be used as nail file anyway (women  ).

The Victorinox Compact model might be a good choice too. it is only 2 backsrpings thick and has everything on it you want except the phillips head driver. Note that the nail file is small, and is located on the back of the hook.
