Does this sheath dull the bk2?

I have a three bk2's one in custom Leather one in an custom kydex and the 3rd in the original kydex like yours
I just checked all Three of mine I can't see any of them is any duller than the rest.
I mean if for some reason a guy draws and pushes the blade against the kydex really hard and draws it like that dozens of times a day it might possible dull it some,,,,,,,,, but with normal stright up draw I don't see it dulling it to any noticeable degree .

My very first foray years ago into the world of fixed blades beyond Academy and Wally world was a BK2 that my sons bought me for Fathers Day. Still have that knife. First thing I learned was that the sheath dulls the knife faster than leather or kydex customs. It was one of many reasons I started doing kydex in the first place. Check around the web and you will find many stories of the original sheath dulling the blade. Awesome knife. Crappy sheath.

Tis why you want Kydex, leather, or nylon versus glass impregnated plastic. I know my factory sheath dulls my BK-24. I won't carry it until I have gotten a new sheath for it. Sharpening is fun, but not sharpening after the sheath dulling the edge. It is self defeating.

It won't if you put pressure against the spine of the knife in the sheath as you're drawing the blade out; keeps the edge from scrubbing the opposite side of the sheath so no worries...

Otherwise, glass filled nylon is not nice on edges. ;):D

Spec ops makes decent stuff but custom kydex is the way to go IMO.

I'd contact Azwelke (Al Welke) or David Brown here on the forums.
