Hi,

I've been playing with the CAD systems at University recently. Does a variant like that exist?

SR styled handle, thump ramp, serrated "false edge", recurved back ... blade length 5", total length appr. 10 1/4" (BA/NO-sized?)

:D

On the one hand I think no, because the handle resembles SR's handle design. The only SR Variant that exists is a recurved CR ... as far as I know. On the other hand I am sure I have seen this kind of blade configuration somewhere, maybe in the picture archive, badmojo.tv ...?

Thanks for your feedback!

Aahh, CAD. Isn't it fun?? What system are you using? Doesn't look like Mechanical Desktop! Maybe solidworks or proengineer?
Anyway, looks pretty cool and professional! For my taste something is missing, though. Something that makes it more bloodthirsty. Can't quite describe what it is!

Great idea ! It looks pretty well.:D You are right, you have seen some variants of this kind of blade on Mojotv and here in the forum, but in my opinion the serrated edge had been on both sides of the blades.
A blade like your`s I have never seen here.

I would make the finger choil a little bit wider, it`s better to use.

@J.Vervoorst: PRO/E rocks. :D

@Fugazi: I will try to enlarge the choil, but this will shorten the cutting edge ... I guess on an appr. BA3 sized knife a large finger choil is not that important.

Glad you like it. Thanks.

The blade reminds me a bit of the Flying Badger Attack. You can find it in the archive somewhere.

@veritas: Do not be fooled by the larger holes in the handle ... as soon as scales are mounted, you can't see them any longer. These holes are necessary to move the balance point towards the tip. Mission Knife ... tststs ... :mad:

That's pretty cool. . . .I'm pretty much brain-dead so it is difficult for me to remember whether or not I have made anything like that in the past or not. . . .If I haven't. . . .I think I should!!!!

Looks great!

That's pretty cool! Does seem kind of FlyingBadgerish.

BTW, here's a hint for all future variant idea submissions: put a can (or keg ;) ) of CBL somewhere in the picture :D

@Skunk:
Yes, this is the blade configuration with some extra serrations. Is the size the same? Skunk, can you give me the length of the blade and total length?

As the Ergos are no longer available ...

Let me conclude:

I am suffering from a potentially dangerous FlyingBadgerism variant with a slightly stretched blade and a non-ergo (they're gone:(), SR shaped full tang handle ... :D

Do I want to get cured:

NO!!! :D

I'll fix that problem with the CBL ...

Looks like an "Artic Team Edition Stretched Flying Badger Variant"

@Jerry: Would you ... ?

It looks great, a heavy knife to do all work and well chopping. The colour of the scales are not my favourite, i would prefer another colour - and my favourite beer.;) :D
