4 monthes ago My girlfriend and i went on a wave runner with 500 bucks worth of fishing gear and my backpack with my sebenza in it. well we flipped the waverunner lost all ther fishing gear and all i had to say was glad we saved the backpack with my sebenza in it. Since that time she busts me about my sebenza , the way i take such good care of it; she even started taking pictures of us ( me and the sebenza) when we go camping at diff places, so we could start a scrap book of all the places we have been together. So has anyone else had their significant other look at them strange when they took good care of the sebbie.:D

no, but my secretary thinks i'm pretty out of touch with reality. there's always a daily newspaper on her desk. she frequently finds it with lots of slits where i've tested the sharpness of my mnandis.

how about patches of hair gone from your arms..looks like some kind of shock treatment!:D :D

Not wife nor GF, but my best buddy-female-friend-sister...

she could not stand me carrying a part of a dead animal (mammoth ivory) in my pocket. she could appreciate nice wood burls, though.

oh one more :
"Why do you need more than one knife ???" is the opening question every time i show her a new addition.

so leather jacket (don't have one yet), horn and giraffe bones knives are out when I hang with her.

oh she paid over $2000 for her rabbit's chemo. So she is a gentle soul.

Well... believe it or not, but my little (1y 2m) Mary can tell the difference between Sebenza and Mnandi and name each of them. Yeah, I'm pretty good teacher of knifology :D And I don't even want to know what my wife thinks about me. Oh, BTW, I still didn't figure out how shall I explain to the nanny why Mary tries to catch her front pocket and repeats "Sebensa, sebensa, sebensa...". No, I'm not kidding! :D

I have a "don't ask, don't tell" policy... My Umfaan purchases alone might cause my wife cardiac arrest! I like to think of "not sharing" as contributing to her good health (and it helps me stay alive!)...

My other half knows I loves knives!! And gets me some when I ask for Christmas, Birthday, Anniversary.
PiterM: That is too precious!! I LOVE it!!

The best thing about my wife collecting Longanberger baskets is that she is not in a very good position to bitch at me for spending too much money on knives......

I'm happy to say that my wife fully supports my knife-hobby. She bought me a small regular Sebenza for Christmas in 2004, and its the one I use the most.

Those Longaberger baskets are expensive!!! We worked with some nurses that peddled.....ah, had those parties.... I got dragged along to one. I could NOT believe the price on those things!! Good Lord!

OK, I do not feel so bad now.
Just google the L baskets and I am glad I like knives better.

the baskets look like a good hobby but I would not know what to do with the as a "colection" (too bulky IMHO).

From where I'm sitting in the living room (which is not an overly strategic place), I can see 8 Longaberger baskets. There's probably 40+ in the house . . . I wonder if there's a used/collector market for these things?

So, get this -- I actually HOSTED my own L basket party for my wife back in the late 90's. Hey, ya gotta do whatcha gotta do to support reciprocation!

I hear ya man. We moved a few months ago. Stopped counting at like 40. The majority are actually being used in some fasion. Not like a $5 basket couldn't be doing the same thing, but I try not to go there. As my CC just got dinged for over a grand from Boise, ID, I just let the Longaberger thing slide........

A CRK here and there is usually never a problem, it's when I feel the need to feed my gun appetite where things get sticky.
