Does wrapping hot kydex around your blade hurt the heat treat of the blade?

I know that it is commonly done, but I was wondering if the roughly 350-375 degree temperature of pliable kydex hurts the heat treat of your blade? What temperature would the blade have to reach before it was negatively affected?

I am planning to make new kydex sheathes to accommodate my Fallkniven knives with paracord wrapped handles (F1, S1, THOR). I LOVE the blades but hate the small/thin handles.

Your Kydex will catch on fire long before it gets hot enough to ruin your heat treat.

Exactly. Kydex forms around 350, and you temper your blade at 600-800 (I think) depending on the steel type and hardness desired.

Tempering normally starts at 400 F and can go to about 1000 F. However the kydex cools quickly, too quickly to have an effect on the temper.
