Does your Becker go to work with you?

I just got a BK14 and have been carrying it and using it at work the last couple of days and it got me wondering, who else puts their Becker on the payroll? I do warehouse type work so I cut plastic banding and break boxes down with it. Nothing crazy but it least I get to play with my Becker at work (quick spelling check). :)

mine probably shouldnt, but i've started putting my 11 in my back pocket again. I mostly travel all throughout my state checking in at different locations (i have a nice truck set up if i ever breakdown anywhere lol) but i rarely need it. I rides backup to my tinker because if any of my customers ever saw it i suspect they would freak out on me (although this is mississippi, you never know)

I've been taking the 13&11 to work with me.

Same as you I work in warehouse/grocery store so alot of boxes to break apart.

I EDC my 14 everywhere! I am a manager of a grocery store and wear slacks. It rides in my back pocket and is barely noticable. Everyone at work loves it and have talked a few into buying one.

Your store is lucky then. I usually get in trouble for my knife which is why I bring the 13 most of the time instead of the 11

Yes I am..we have a 3 1/2" rule for our company. Being the boss does help too.

most tech companies frown on people having weapons. so, officially, no Beckers at work :)

course, i am allowed to have have a powerpliers kinda thing. go figure.

Too bad I don't have a job that allows me to use my BK2, 7, or 11. My current employer only allows knives with blades under 2.5", so my BK13 is the only Becker I own that I can take to work. But I have several others I swap out now and then, like my Blind Horse Frontier First Patch knife or Small Tiger Knapp.

Yup, a BK11 under my shirt next to my multi-tool. I'm in I.T. so yea, most would frown upon seeing it so it mainly there to cut my lunch, and the occasional ethernet or VGA cable.

I work for a Financial institution down by the World Trade Center so carrying "weapons" to work is pretty much frowned upon, plus NYC laws pretty much make blade length a judgement call by police, so I stopped carrying the 14 with me and switched to the Izula.

Hey guys, just inform your employers that Beckers are not weapons, just well constructed letter openers. LOL! Just kidding.

My BK2 goes to work with me when I do field work but always stashed away in a pack. People do freak out at the sight of knives. I find the BK2 a lot more discreet than my Khukuris. In most rural part of Sarawak, it is common to see farmers or villagers carry parangs around but in the city, carry knives other than SAK or multitool can lead to trouble with the law.

Cheers!

Kinda yes, and kinda no. I don't own the 14 yet, though I will before too long, so my smallest Becker for the time being is a BK2. I work the vault for one of the largest armored car carriers in the country. It's an armed position, so I seriously doubt anyone would give me grief for carrying it, but while inside the vault, there's really no point to carrying anything larger than a small folder. I almost never even have use for that for work-related cutting. Access to the parking lot and every nook and cranny of the building is highly controlled (for rather obvious reasons), but I do carry a Get Home Bag in the Jeep, and the BK2 is now attached to that in my new sheath. They've searched the pack many times, like randomly every 2 - 4 shifts or thereabouts, and have never said a word about either the BK2 or the Kershaw Outcast that it replaced a couple of weeks ago. I guess they figure if the company can trust me with their S&W M&P .40, they can trust me with my own survival knife sitting in my Jeep while I'm inside doing an excellent job for them, which, if you look at the time-stamp for this post, consists of talking with you fine people while I get through my graveyard shift. LOL

So yeah, I "take" a Becker to work with me, but I don't work with it or even have it on my person while I'm working.

Blues

I've been lately carrying my BK14 at the nuclear power plant where I work. I always get a little antsy when it goes through the X-ray machine at the security entrance, but so far it hasn't been questioned.

The BK2/BK14 combo is in my pack, which is in the back of the Jeep. I work for a non-profit, and our main location has a pre-school attached (Headstart program) so they have some reason to be a little stringent I guess. So I just carry a folder. Or two. :D

always my 11 in my purse/pocket/around neck and my 9 is in my back pack. don't carry my backpack everywhere, but it follows me a lot places.
