Hey guys,
I was just cleaning my new seb when I noticed this notch. I don't remember seeing it on the small 21 I once owned so I am wondering if this is normal for a large classic?

My seb also has a modified thumb stud so I am hoping this is normal and the previous owner didnt try to modify the scale too.

So, does your seb have this notch?
Thanks guy.

I have seen this. Its from cutting the framelock. The other end does not have it because there is the hole on the other end where the lockbar spring cutout is, the short end does not have it because the thickness of the cutout essentially takes it away.

Ahh. I see. Well it's definitely a relief to know that it was done at the factory.
Thanks Nyefmaker!!!!

You can even see it from the outside when the knife is closed when looking at the cutout area. You really have to look for it though, its not something that stands out. Again, its normal and just part of the manufacturing process is all.....!!! Enjoy your Sebenza.....!!!

Both mine have it
What kinda Seb do you have? 21? 25? Reg? Classic? Either way. Thanks for the response:)

Mine has it too. I usually pick grease and lint out of it with a toothpick when I clean it.
That's exactly what I did, lol. I couldn't believe how muh gunk was jammed in the pivot area.

Thank you! I will do just that! :))

It's just from the cutting disk used to cut the horzontal part of the lock bar, as our man Nyefmaker said it's only at one side because there is a "locator hole" at the other end of the cut. It's on all Sebenzas as they will use the same set up for every knife. It's on all my Regulars and Umnumzaans too. :)
