Well, there I was just hiding inside a log and minding my own business. Hangin out with my three closest friends.

When all of a sudden I was attacked by the most ferocious monster!

It was all teeth and fangs from where I was looking. I didn't dare move an inch!

Once it reached me, it beckoned it's human slave to extract me from my hiding place. She was like 50 feet tall! It was only then that I was able to make my escape.

Yeah, I almost died!

Later, while reflecting on my experience I saw something that eliminated any doubts about what my fate would have been if I had stayed...

And it was still hungry!

OMFG, I hope you are okay! I am here for ya my friend. I can take care of your collection while you recooperate. No, really, no thanks needed. I just want to help.:D ;)

Thanks for sharing! I always enjoy the running commentary.

Great pics man, glad you escaped uninjured. Do you run the SAR service for a living?

Thanks guys, it was a narrow escape, no doubt. ;)

lagarto,

I used to belong to an area SAR team, but have been inactive for the past few years. It's a volunteer organization so it would be difficult to make a living at it...but at least I got to buy my own gear! :D

A few of us try to get out each weekend for some firebuilding / coffee drinking exercises...basically to use our Rats...and this particular weekend we were asked by the Dog Team to help them out with a training.

I usually don't get into working with dogs, but this exercise was actually a lot of fun. :D
